Quick Blog # 4

I don’t feel there was anything wrong with this song. She is too young to be seen as a role model though. Well I think she is talented and creative enough to stand and do justice with this song. It was first time I was hearing this song so maybe I am not getting it right. I don’t see any sexist language used maybe just the word whip it hard may sound like one but not really. Racist well I don’t think it was racist or have used any racist language anyhere. She was enjoying the song, and whipping her hair back and forth. I didn’t like that she was trying to behave like a grown up mature girl other than that I was a good song. With the amount of views it got on You Tube I can say it is a popular song. I liked her pretty smile at the end.

Dressing a 2 year old in Madonna's cone dress to perform in a pageant, well this is sexualization by a mom, poor little girl.

  1. I agree, I don't think there was anything wrong with the song. I think she is just trying to make a name for herself and doesn't want to be known as Will Smith's daughter all the time. I would think this is just her "break out" song. I also agree that the mother dressing her 2 year old daughter is sexualization and I feel bad for her :(
